Here are a few common questions we get from our customers.

How do I change the way the design of the platform and buttons on my website?

Each website has a unique configuration that is managed by the Joyned team. To change your configuration, contact your account manager. Customization options include custom text changes, custom color palette selection and more.

If I don’t want a specific web page with Joyned buttons, can I just not include the script tag?

We recommend including the script tag on all pages where the platform wishlist should be visible. Not including the script tag on specific pages can lead to a strange user experience  where the user is expecting the Joyned platform to be visible to help them shop. Users might need to consult their friends even on pages where you may want the button to be hidden.

If you prefer that buttons should not be on a specific page, let us know and we can change your configuration so no Joyned buttons will be rendered on that page.

Remember - do not include the script tag/platform on any pages with PII!

When a user clicks the button to add an item to the wishlist, how does the platform know the details of that item?

Our platform scrapes your data automatically with a scraper algorithm that is customized per website. When clicking the button, the platform will scan the DOM and siblings/relatives of the button to identify important information relevant to the item such as price, description etc.

What impact will the Joyned platform have on the loading times of my website?

The platform is meant to load as the last item on the page. This ensures that other critical elements of your HTML rendering are not impacted by our platform. Make sure to include the script tag as one of the last elements in the HTML body of your page.

What happens if there are problems with the platform?

If you experience any issues with the Joyned platform, please contact your account manager. Our team is very responsive and ready to address any customization requests or issues in a quick manner.
